Coming from an expatriate family, with a BFA in Industrial Design, a Sculpture Minor, and a Marine Design Minor from SCAD, Maro likes to question convention to find innovative solutions to design-based problems. He is an active IDSA and PMI member, holder of several patents, and has consulted on various projects and processes throughout the development industry. A creative mind constantly at work, he is highly motivated and ambitious with a success-driven work ethic.

Starting his career as a freelancer in the marine design industry working with global clients, his corporate journey began with a rapid rise from design engineer to lead designer at Malibu Boats where he penned the entire 2013-2015 line of waterski and wakeboard boats. A transition to product design came in 2016 when he moved to Dallas, TX and joined one of Texas' largest product development agencies as their director of design. Here his experience grew as he led the development of over 50 products ranging from pet toys to private jet interiors. In 2019 he co-founded Modus Applied Innovations with the goal of creating products that address the needs of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Modus quickly grew to an agency of 12 world-class innovators specializing in transportation design and product innovation, and successfully produced multiple 6-figure programs. Modus Applied Innovations merged with Louder Group in 2023 where Maro's role as COO and Studio Chief sees him lead the innovation of high-level design and product development programs.
